Meet Our Team

Kayla – Practice Manager. Kayla has been working for Kenco Optical since October of 2019. Kayla earned her Associate in Science from SUNY Ulster and holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University at Albany. More recently, Kayla earned her Associate in Medical Billing & Coding from Bryant & Stratton College in Albany, NY. Kayla is currently the practice manager for Kenco Optical during which she handles all management tasks including but not limited to patient scheduling, accounts management, schedules dispensings, manages health insurance claims and much more. Kayla works in Kingston on Tuesday and Thursday and is remote Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Kayla lives outside of Schenectady, NY with her husband Jake and her two-year-old daughter. In her free time, Kayla enjoys raising her daughter & spending time with her family.

Jim Kennedy – Owner of Kenco Optical and a Licensed Optician.

Dr. Timothy Quinlan, PhD, O.D. – Optometrist. Tim was born and raised in Windsor, VT before attending the University of Vermont in Burlington, VT. Tim received his B.S. in Medical Technology, Masters of Science in Pathology and PhD in Molecular Biology, all from UVM, before completing a three-year post-doctoral fellowship in the Dept. of Anesthesiology at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. Dr. Quinlan then attended the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA, where he attained his Doctorate in Optometry. He has been an optometrist for more than eight years in various locations including Keene, NH and Staunton and Harrisburg, VA. Dr. Quinlan is presently in practice in several locations including Kenco Optical, in the Hudson River Valley of NY. He presently resides in Kingston, NY with his wife of nine years, Lisa. Dr. Quinlan is an avid skier, tennis player and outdoor enthusiast.
